Alberta Glass awarded installation contract for Eighth Avenue Place

SOTA Glazing of Brampton Ontario has been awarded the curtainwall and skylight contract for Phase 1 of the prestigious Eighth Avenue Place Project. Eighth Avenue Place - Designed by Pickard Chilton and Managed by Hines Development the 49 story tower will have a dramatic impact on the Calgary skyline.
Alberta Glass will be installing this project and working together again with SOTA Glazing, Ellis Don Construction and Gibbs Gage Architects. "The high profile, spectacular design and energy efficiency of this project fit well with the skills and abilities of Alberta Glass employees," states president Paul Heyens. "The unique challenges of installing the multiple planes and facets of this structure are what drives our people to develop innovative solutions and show leadership in our industry."
Installation will begin on site in late 2009 and continue through to early 2011.
